Though the weather has now truly turned into Autumn (sad face) New York was all about Spring Summer this last week!
We had a look at the best shows going and compiled the trends we predict will be the next big thing for the coming season! We’re already dreaming of ditching the tights and getting our legs out! Alas patience is a virtue, so for now lets have a look at the best trends so far…
The firm favourite Monochrome is back, as seen at Marc by Marc Jacobs and Oscar De La Renta, and we’re LOVING the clashing prints on the catwalks! Team with trainers for the more casual chic, or add a clutch and courts for truly ladylike style.
The Skirt is THE wardrobe essential for Spring, seen in a variety of cuts and styles, Alice & Olivia showcased a-line pastels whilst Marc Jacobs mixed it up with bold spotted and geometric prints. The ultimate skirt however was seen at Michael Kors in rich snakeskin. Teamed with a matching clutch it was our personal fav!
Pink is having a moment and has come a long way from Baby Spice and Barbie! In muted pastels, soft blush tones and printed florals, pink is sticking with us from AW13 all the way through to SS14. Diesel Black didn’t shy away from neon with their AMAZING pink blazer teamed with space age metallic trousers, whilst Victoria Beckham showcased a more feminine silhouette in shift dresses and skirt suits. Karen Walker came over all 50s in this floral jumpsuit whilst Tommy Hillfiger showcased a more grown up look in this soft tailored look.
Overall NYFW featured some exciting looks and we can’t wait to see what London Fashion Week has to offer. BRING IT ON!

Any of this week’s gorgeous trend picks will be a great addition to your existing spring/summer wardrobe – classic, clean and oh-so chic.
Here are some of our fav celebs rocking the white trend!
White is one of those colours that allows us to experiment with our outfit choices in so many ways. Whether it be pairing our simple crop tee with a clashing trouser or our subtle white knit with a bright shift dress. White allows us to inject a sense of calm into a vibrant outfit choice.
Alternatively, you can always opt for a full white overhaul and pair our cute white broderie shirt with the pretty cutout skater skirt! Add bright pops of colour with your jewelry and you’ll be pulling off the trend in no time!
We are loving white and its endless style possibilities! Experiment with different textures for even better results! Lace, sheer and linen are all beautiful textures that lend themselves perfectly to white.
Let us know what you think of this week’s trend! xo
Its what we have all been waiting for the summer of festivals has begun. We kicked off the season in the heart of east end London at the one day festival, Field Day. Luckily for us the sky was blue and the sun was beaming down. Swarms of uber trendy hipsters descended upon Victoria Park to see the likes of Django Django, Everything Everything, and Four Tet.
White Crochet Cover Up – £15
Gold Neon Pyramid Collar – £4.99
White Metal Tbar Sandals - £12
So, your holiday check list goes something like this, doesn’t it? Book holiday, buy bikini, the end. Yup, we relate. The bikini is the most important factor of the beach holiday, obvs. If you intend to spend the majority of your vacation time sprawled out on a beach, soaking up rays and building sandcastles, it only stands to reason that you’ll want to look pretty fly doing it.
Looking every bit the beach babe isn’t hard. Find yourself a cool bikini (we’re loving the feather one in our pic. Tres chic, non?) and a loose cover up for when you want to grab a cocktail at the poolside bar. Team that with a chunky necklace and a nice pair of flat sandals and you’ve got yourself quite the look going on.
Just looking at that pic, we can almost hear the waves crashing around our ankles. *dreamy sigh*
Black Colour Block Sandal – £24.99
Black High Wedge Peeptoes – £19.99
White Keypur Wedge Sandals – £16.99
Black Basic Sandals – £5.99
If you’re anything like us, you’ve been doing sun dances outside, willing that big yellow ball to throw some heat on us. As the promise of summer edges ever closer, we’ve selected the exact pedicure we want and are ready to unleash our toes on the world! But to do that of course, we need the perfect shoe to highlight our perfectly pedicured tootsies.
You don’t have to go with a skimpy sandal or flip flop. A peep toe high heel can cover you for many different types of occasions and you can throw on a flat sandal when you’re ready to hit the beach. Either way, it’s time to prep those feet for their first unveiling of the season!
White Broderie Anglaise Shirt - £14.99
Red Tassle Clutch – £5
Black Aztec Midi Skirt - £10.99
Aztec print is everywhere at the moment. We love a bold pattern and yet, we understand the fear of going too bold, boldly into environments where boldness is not always encouraged – such as, the workplace for example. Depending on your work environment, of course, your flair for wacky colours and crazily designed fabric may not always be appreciated. However, you don’t need to stifle your sense of style for your 9-5. You may just need to tone it down slightly.
So, how can you work in the Aztec print trend into your work wear? An Aztec print dress with matching handbag would obviously be a bridge too far. So, pick one item of clothing where you can get away with being slightly more daring – in this case, we’ve picked an Aztec print skirt and teamed it with a plain white blouse, grey shoes and a colourful clutch bag. It’s subtle and understated and won’t give your boss a heart attack – that’s what we call a win-win!
